1st Medallion Mortgage Corp. was structured as a wholesale and retail mortgage company, serving the southeastern U.S, but, primarily North Carolina and Virginia. 1st Medallion is a Virginia corporation, headquartered in Greensboro North Carolina, and, is a wholly owned subsidiary of River Bancorp. 1st Medallion was chartered in the second quarter 2006, and began business at the beginning of the third quarter. The company offers a full array of products, selling to large national institutional investors. Competitive pricing, completely on-site file handling, and rapid turnaround are keys to 1st Medallions business model. 1st Medallion is staffed by a contingent of well-trained, mortgage banking professionals with nearly 300 years of combined experience in the industry. To date, in spite an often very challenging mortgage market, the company has been largely successful. It has grown consistently and was profitable in two of its first four quarters of operation. The middle and latter part of 2007 and 2008, were, of course, a period of uncertainly and disappointment for all participants in the mortgage markets, but early 2009 clearly indicates high volume and profitability. Jobs Offered: {1} Greensboro -- Processor Title: Processor Location: Greensboro, NC Starting: Immediately Apply by: BGibson@1stMedallion.com or fax 336-931-1107 About: The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to assume primary responsibility for the mortgage loan file upon receipt from the originator. This is an extremely challenging and demanding position. The Loan Processor pursues required information and documentation for the loan to be adequately underwritten while updating the processing system and communicating its progress to the appropriate parties. Chief responsibilities will include: Processing mortgage loans in accordance with all Agency, Investor and Regulatory policies and procedures Pulling and reviewing credit report Verifying that documentation provided by Loan Officer and borrower matches loan application Running loan file through automated underwriting engines as appropriate Collecting all necessary documentation needed to submit loan file for approval Submission of completely processed loan file for underwriting approval Notifying appropriate parties of status of loan (approval, conditions, etc.) Keeping loan status updated in processing system Ordering all documents required by Closing Department to prepare closing documents (hazard, title commitment, insured closing letter, wire info, etc.)A successful candidate will: Have a minimum 2 years of experience as a mortgage loan processor with FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional loans Have DU and LP experience Have a thorough understanding regarding evaluating appraisals, title reports, flood certification, hazard insurance, income documentation, credit reports Be familiar with computer mortgage processing programs Be well organized, accurate, extremely detail oriented, thorough, professional, friendly and a team player Have excellent verbal and written communication skills Be able to work independently and research problems and questions as required Have the ability to work effectively with multiple Loan Officers, Lenders, Title Companies, Appraisers, Clients, etc. Be able to function in a high pressure, quick paced demanding environment Provide excellent customer service to our clients, Loan Officer and business partnersBenefits: We offer competitive salaries and incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits package.1st Medallion Mortgage Corporation (password required) Click here to read Profiles/Resumes by State/City/JobDesired Click here to read Profiles/Resumes by JobDesired/State/City |
